STRUTHERS — The Struthers Municipal Court has been awarded a grant by the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Office of Criminal Justice Services.

Judge Dominic Leone explained that the grant, for $13,945, will “immediately increase public safety” through means of personal protective equipment and conferencing equipment.

Plastic barriers, cleaning supplies and touchless thermometers will be purchased, as well as video conferencing equipment “to further reduce prisoner transports by enabling remote inmate attorney-client privilege meetings,” Leone said in a news release.
