McDonald football player tests positive

McDONALD — Another local school has shut down football practices because of a positive coronavirus case.

A McDonald Local Schools football player tested positive for the virus last week, according to a news release from school officials. Superintendent Kevin O’Connell said players were sent home Thursday and varsity football activities have been suspended for 14 days.

O’Connell said the district is working with the Trumbull County Combined Health District on the contact tracing process.
