Ex Craig Beach chief denied release
AKRON — A federal judge has ruled against the request of former Craig Beach police Chief Andrew Solomon, 38, to leave prison after serving three years of his five-year sentence for possessing child pornography.
Judge John Adams last week rejected Solomon’s request, which noted Solomon’s concerns for contracting the coronavirus while in prison and concerns for his family.
When Soloman requested release in May, the prison reported that 23 inmates and 15 staff were positive for coronavirus with one death.
In denying the motion, Judge Adams ruled that Soloman had not exhausted all administrative remedies available before petitioning the court.
