Canfield blaze under investigation
CANFIELD — An investigation is ongoing after a house caught fire early Friday morning in Canfield.
Don Hutchison, fire chief of the Cardinal Joint Fire District, said that the homeowner escaped the blaze, which left the home a total loss.
The house was in the renovation process, Hutchison said. The house is located at 369 E. Main St. Records show the house was built in 1861.
The fire chief also said the arson task force has been called to assist with the investigation. Boardman, Austintown and Green township fire departments assisted.
