Canfield bikeway to be resurfaced
CANFIELD — A two-mile portion of the MetroParks Bikeway will be closed temporarily for resurfacing.
Beginning Monday, the section between state Route 446 and Herbert Road will be closed to all traffic for pavement repair and asphalt resurfacing, the park announced.
Also closed will be spur trails at the MetroParks Farm, Canfield High School and Preserve neighborhood.
Access to the bikeway from Route 446, U.S. Route 62, Railroad Street, U.S. Route 224 and Herbert Road will be prohibited during construction.
The project should last one week, but may stretch in the event of inclement weather, the park stated in an email.
