Lit Youngstown hosts reading on internet

Lit Youngstown is moving its regular First Wednesday event to Zoom and Facebook Live.

Featured poets will be Nicole Robinson and Terry Provost.

Robinson is a member of the Lit Youngstown board and her poems have appeared in Great River Review, The Columbia Journal and CALYX. She received an Individual Excellence Award for poetry from the Ohio Arts Council and has a master’s degree in poetry from Ashland University. She is the narrative medicine coordinator at Akron Children’s Hospital.

Provost is an adjunct professor of math at Tri-C and has written poetry for more than 20 years. His two books are “Compassionate Imperialism” and “An Uncountable Infinity of Orgasms.” He hosts Bowled Over by Poetry at Mahall’s in Lakewood.

The reading starts at 7 p.m. today. Zoom room opens at 6:30 p.m. Those interested in participating at the open mic following the reading can email Lit Youngstown@gmail.com for a link to the Zoom room. Those who just want to listen can watch the event live on Lit Youngstown’s Facebook page.
