Struthers amends executive order

STRUTHERS — City officials have decided to amend an executive order brought forth by Mayor Catherine Miller.

A citywide curfew began Thursday night, and will continue until further notice, as part of the order.

The curfew pertains to residents and city visitors, and is in effect 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

A second part included that all juveniles must be accompanied by an adult.

Upon further discussion, Miller and city law director John Zomoida decided to lift the juvenile supervision, with Zomoida explaining it doesn’t make “common sense to restrict the ability of minors to go for a walk during the day and engaging in exercise activities like jogging.”

Zomoida did say that parents should keep an eye on their children and remind them of social distancing.
