YOUNGSTOWN — Michael Polite, 41, of Riley Road in Struthers, pleaded guilty Thursday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court to failure to comply with the orders of a police officer for an Aug. 7 high-speed chase.

He will be sentenced 10 a.m. April 12. His plea agreement calls for him to get 18 months in prison. Prosecutors will recommend he get out on judicial release after one year.

A Struthers police officer tried to make a traffic stop on Polite because of a warrant, but Polite fled. During the chase, Polite’s car crashed on Poland Avenue near Powers Way and went airborne into a field. Polite fled on foot but was captured.
