Steve Miller band coming to Youngstown Amp

YOUNGSTOWN — The Steve Miller Band will play the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre on June 24 as part of his Americana tour.

Joining Miller will be Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives and musical comedian Gary Mule Deer.

Miller was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 and will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame two weeks before the Youngstown concert. His many rock radio hits include “Fly Like an Eagle,” “The Joker,” “Jungle Love” and “Swingtown.” The Steve Miller Band played the Chevrolet Centre (now known as the Covelli Centre) in 2008.

In the news release announcing the tour, Miller said, “Touring with Marty and the Superlatives is inspirational. This is undoubtedly one of the most talented touring combinations I’ve ever been involved in. We look forward to continuing working together to explore the roots of American Music. Adding the musical comedy of Gary Mule Deer to the show will be an unexpected treat for our fans. I’m delighted to be able to tour with these great artists and to bring the Steve Miller Band audience the best of the best.”

Tickets range from $49.50 to $149.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 21 at the Covelli Centre’s Southwoods Health box office and through Ticketmaster. An online-only presale runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 20 with the password: SWINGTOWN.
