YOUNGSTOWN — A man and woman were arrested after police said they were in a car that hit the back of another car and left the scene. The episode occurred at 12:21 p.m. Friday at Erie Street and East Chalmers Avenue.

Police charged Thomas E. Ridenbaugh Jr., 36, of Hall Street in Warren, with driving under suspension and driving on fictitious license plates after police located him near the crash.

They arrested Christina Bosley, 36, of Market Street, on a warrant out of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court after police followed her from the scene and found her in a nearby store.

A Pennsylvania man told police he was sitting in his car in the parking lot of Best Way Gas Mart, 2501 Market St., when a vehicle hit his car from behind.

Ridenbaugh, the driver, and the female passenger ran off, but the driver followed them, advising police of their position.
