YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury has indicted a Chicago man arrested by sheriff’s deputies on Christmas Eve after it was discovered he exchanged nude photos via text messages with a minor.

Rayan Syed Ravoof Hussain, 19, is under indictment for importuning, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person.

Hussain had told deputies he drove to a Shields Road home from Chicago to meet a 14-year-old girl he had been talking to online, according to a police report.

He told deputies he meets people online, counseling them “through tough times in their life,” although he does not have a degree or certificate in counseling.

While talking to a detective, Hussain confirmed he and the teen communicated online for about 1 1/2 months, and after a search through his cell phone it was confirmed he saved nude photos from the teen.

Deputies responded to the home after the teen’s mother called law enforcement.

The report states that Hussain is a Saudi Arabian citizen. During a search of Hussain’s vehicle, deputies found a second cellphone, two passports — one of which was canceled, Homeland Security papers, a check for $13,000, and other miscellaneous papers. A laptop from the residence was also taken as evidence, the report states.

The grand jury also indicted:

• Joe’Von D. Jackson, 19, Avalon Street, Austintown, improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or school safety zone with firearm specifications, felonious assault with firearm specifications and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

• Mary T. Driscoll, 58, Youngstown Salem Road, Salem, aggravated vehicular assault, vehicular assault and two counts of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them.

• Kristin N. Hubert, 25, Harvey Street, Struthers, theft.

• Kaitlyn E. Mackie, 26, Douglas Avenue, Youngstown, breaking and entering, vandalism and safecracking.

• Ja-Waylon D. Richardson, 24, Douglas Avenue, Youngstown, breaking and entering, vandalism and safecracking.

• Eric T. Gbur, 20, Mahoning County jail, breaking and entering, vandalism and safecracking.

• Christopher B. A. Thomas, 19, Mahoning County jail, breaking and entering, vandalism and safecracking.

• Richard M. Stewart, 58, Wallace Street, Youngstown, receiving stolen property.

• Mindy E. Gandy, 37, Kenmore Road, Youngstown, grand theft, receiving stolen property.

• Joseph M. Lewis, 40, Mahoning County jail, receiving stolen property, failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer and disorderly conduct.

• Marc Farrant, 34, Mahoning County jail, possession of cocaine and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Marcus Dukes, 37, Lauderdale Avenue, Youngstown, tampering with evidence and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia with specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case.

• Frank J. Perry, 30, Mahoning County jail, possession of a fentanyl-related compound.

• Samaquiel Camancho-Sanchez, 40, Shirley Road, Youngstown, possession of cocaine.

• Junior A. Blair, 22, Falls Avenue, Youngstown, having weapons while under disability and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

• Jamar Spivey, 34, Dupont Street, Youngstown, having weapons while under disabiltiy, tampering with evidence and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

• Alvin C. Stinson Jr., 34, Alemeda Avenue, Youngstown, possession of cocaine, possession of drugs and possessing drug abuse instruments, all with specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case.

• Jessica R. Davis, 36, Parkway Street, Struthers, petty theft, criminal trespass and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Michael G. Earnest, 48, Bedell Road, Berlin Center, Ohio, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them.
