North Lima man killed in Neshannock crash

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — David Davidson of North Lima was pronounced dead Friday morning after first responders answered a crash call.

According to the Lawrence County Coroner’s office, Davidson, 67, was already dead when emergency personnel arrived on Pulaski Road at Maitland Lane in Neshannock Township.

The crash was discovered about 6 a.m. Friday.

Nashannock police said that Davidson was ejected from his vehicle after striking a tree.

The vehicle then continued down an embankment and overturned into a creek.

Due to the severe impact of the crash, the vehicle’s engine also was ejected.

Nearby residents told investigators that a loud crash around 8 p.m. Thursday was heard, but nothing was visible.

An investigation by Neshannock police is ongoing.

The coroner’s office said that speed, drugs and alcohol are not expected to be factors in the crash.
