City man set to plead guilty in murder case
YOUNGSTOWN — Johnathen D. Figueroa, 22, of Sherwood Avenue is scheduled to enter a guilty plea Feb. 21 in the July 2017 murder of Marion Bugdal, 52, on Bennington Avenue. It is not known what charges are involved in his plea.
Figueroa was deemed competent to stand trial after four mental health evaluations.
Figueroa is one of three men charged in the crime. The others are Alex New, 22, and Fred Nolasco, 21. Nolasco was found incompetent to stand trial.
Bugdal was found in the remains of his burned-out home on the East Side a couple of days after he was killed. Police have said they think Bugdal was killed during a failed burglary attempt.
