AUSTINTOWN -- Canfield resident Judith DeMichael, 59, was pronounced dead Thursday after hitting a flatbed tractor-trailer head-on.
The crash happened just after 1 p.m. on state Route 46 near New Road.
DeMichael was driving north on Route 46 when her Chevrolet Impala went left of center, hitting a southbound Peterbilt tractor-trailer, driven by Jeffrey Benson, 59, of Salem.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged. Benson was not injured.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
