YOUNGSTOWN -- Two cars ran a red light at Schenley Avenue and Bears Den Road at 6:14 p.m. Dec. 20, crashing head-on into each other and causing suspected minor injuries, the Youngstown Police Department reports.
Injured were Gregory T. Merdich, 17, of Rexford Road, who was taken by ambulance to an unspecified hospital; and Jain A. Savage, 71, of Baymar Drive. who was taken by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
A witness said one of the cars was turning left from Schenley onto Bears Dean and the other was going straight from McCollum onto Schenley when they collided. The crash report was provided Friday.
