City woman hurt in Vienna crash

VIENNA — A Youngstown woman was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and failure to stop at a stop sign after crashing into the home of a Vienna trustee early Sunday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Danielle Beveridge, 33, was driving west on Smith Stewart Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign on Youngstown Kingsville Road (state Route 193) around 5:30 a.m., drove off the west side of the street and struck a house. Beveridge had to be mechanically removed from the SUV by the Vienna Fire Department, according to the patrol.

Beveridge was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with serious injuries. The residents of the home, Vienna Trustee Phil Pegg and his wife, Jill, were home at the time but were not injured.

The patrol report states alcohol was a factor in the crash.
