YOUNGSTOWN — Police charged a Manchester Avenue man, 56, with felonious assault after allegedly driving into another man at 6:18 p.m. Sunday on Hartzell Avenue.

Police said they were called to Hartzell for a man being struck by a car and found the victim being helped to stand by two women.

The victim said the suspect was dropping him off when they argued over pizza. As the victim walked up the driveway, the suspect accelerated into him then drove away. A witness confirmed the story.

Police later found the suspect and his vehicle at his home on Manchester and took him into custody.

Youngstown Municipal Court and Mahoning County Justice Center records, however, did not list the man as being charged or arrested.
