Boyfriend confronted with gun; partner faces charge
YOUNGSTOWN — A woman was charged with aggravated burglary when police were called to a Carroll Street home at 7:05 a.m. Tuesday.
Aimee A. Demidovich, 35 of Woodford Avenue was arraigned on aggravated burglary in Youngstown Municipal Court Wednesday. Bond was set at $10,000.
A man in the home said Demidovich came in uninvited through an unlocked door and started to argue with a female, asking if she was having sex with the male, with whom Demidovich has been having a relationship.
Demidovich has a carrying a concealed weapon license and brought her gun with her, the man said. At one point, she told the man she should “just off him” and pulled out the handgun, he said. The gun fell to the floor and the man recovered it.
The man fired the gun into the air, police said. The man was charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits, but the city prosecutor dismissed the charge Wednesday, citing “insufficient evidence.”
