Youngstown man charged with menacing on birthday
Staff report
YOUNGSTOWN — A man, 30, was arrested on his birthday Sunday after police said he threatened a woman as they sat in a red Chevrolet with their two children in the driveway of a Ferndale Avenue home.
A police report states Donald Meadows-Graves, 744 Lucius Ave., jumped into the back seat of the woman’s car and demanded money, threatened to break all the windows and slash her tires with a long nail-like item. The woman told police she had driven her two toddler boys to the Ferndale address to wish their father a happy birthday.
Meadows-Graves was taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of menacing. At his arraignment Monday he was released on a personal recognizance bond by Youngstown Municipal Court Judge Renee DiSalvo provided he has no contact with the woman. A hearing has been set for Nov. 7.
