Resident shot in arm on Youngstown’s South Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown police are investigating a shooting of a house along East Boston Avenue about 8 p.m. Tuesday that wounded one of the residents.

Kevin Johnson, 28, of 360 E. Boston Ave., was shot in the arm as he sat on a couch in the living room, according to the police report. Johnson was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital where he talked to detectives.

Johnson told detectives he thinks the incident may have something to do with his brother.

A police report states six to eight shots were fired at the house, with Johnson apparently hit with a slug that went through the siding. Two other people were in an upstairs bedroom during the shooting but were not hurt.

Investigators found four spent Luger 9mm shells outside the house.

Detectives say no arrests have been made and are continuing their investigation.
