Police departments to collect unused medication
AUSTINTOWN — The police department will be collecting unused prescription and over-the-counter drugs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26 as part of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Takeback Day.
Unused or expired medication can be turned in to the police department, 92 Ohltown Road. No needles, syringes, liquids or inhalers will be accepted.
Other police departments participating in National Takeback Day with collection sites include New Middletown, Springfield Township, Boardman, Liberty, Canfield and Milton, as well as Youngstown State University Public Safety, according to the DEA website.
