National Service open house set

WARREN — Information about national volunteer programs will be available at a National Service Open House 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Warren SCOPE Center’s Community Room, 375 N. Park Ave.

Representatives from AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America), Foster Grandparents and the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will be available to answer questions as attendees network. The open house is free and refreshments will be provided.

So far in 2019, more than 700 national service volunteers impacted the lives of 2,000 people in Mahoning and Trumbull counties, served 80,000 hours and saved partner schools and non-profits more than $1.2 million, according to a news release from the RSVP.
