BOARDMAN–Township trustees in September approved increasing the greenspace requirement for new and redevelopment projects from 10 to 15 percent as part of the comprehensive overhaul of the township zoning resolution.

Trustees have said the goal is to increase the aesthetic appeal of the township but also to decrease the amount of impervious surface and aid in stormwater management.

A public meeting will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at Boardman Park in order to get feedback from township residents, businesses and other stakeholders on the comprehensive overhaul of the township’s zoning resolution. Last year, more than 1,000 people responded to an online survey on the zoning-plan changes.
