Youngstown police investigate 2 weekend shootings

YOUNGSTOWN — Police responded to two weekend shootings within 24 hours on the city’s South Side.
A man was shot around 7 a.m. Sunday on West Hylda Avenue near Market Street, according to a police report.
The man, who was not identified, suffered non-life threatening injuries, the report states. He is in stable condition at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Around 6 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a shooting call on East Boston Avenue. It is unclear if anyone was injured in that shooting.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
