YOUNGSTOWN — The archives of The Vindicator, which ceased publication in downtown Youngstown on Aug. 31 after 150 years, are back online.

Visitors to www.vindyarchives.com may access past news stories and local sports, as well as entertainment coverage. Also available are past editorials, letters to the editor, obituaries and death notices.

Society news offers archives of engagements, bridal announcements and anniversaries.

There are Google print archives, too, which provide images of past Vindicators.

The newspaper’s roots in downtown Youngstown dated back to 1869.

The Vindicator is now an edition of the Tribune Chronicle in Warren, serving both Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
