Mill Creek hosts houseplant program
YOUNGSTOWN — Author Tovah Martin will speak at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Mill Creek MetroParks’ Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Way, Youngstown.
In an illustrated lecture, Martin will urge audience members to give peace lilies a chance and provide recommendations for dozens of tough plants that can survive and thrive despite challenging situations.
She will talk about matching the right plant with your situation and personality and provide information on potting, watering, fertilizing and maintaining indoor plants.
A pre-lecture meet-and-greet starts at 5:45 p.m. in Rossi Auditorium.
