2 reportedly break into East Side home

YOUNGSTOWN — Two males broke into a home on Dean Street on the city’s East Side on Tuesday, apparently by moving plywood from a basement window, entering a bedroom and hitting a man on the head with a gun.

It was reported at 4:18 a.m. Tuesday.

The man said two males wearing dark hooded sweatshirts woke him up and demanded money. One hit him several times in the head with a gun, causing bleeding.

He was taken to St.Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

A second male in another bed in the same room fled out of a second-story window. Nothing was reported stolen.
