POLAND - The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Canfield Post is investigating a one-vehicle fatal crash that occurred after midnight Saturday on Struthers Road in Poland Township.
The OSP reports a 2025 Subaru Forester was traveling northbound on Struthers Road, just south of U.S. Route 224. The driver failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned.
Reports indicate the driver and sole occupant, Ryan M. George, 27, of Lowellville, was not wearing a safety belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Assisting at the scene were Poland Emergency Medical Service, the Western Reserve Joint Fire District and the Poland Township Police Department
The Mahoning County Coroner's Office was called to the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
