BOARDMAN -- Members of the Youngstown Defenders football team enter the field at Boardman High School for their first football game as a unified city school district team.
The team, comprised of members of the former East and Chaney squads, made a smashing debut Friday night with a 13-10 win over the Spartans.
The single football team for the school district that once had six separate high schools and six separate football squads will square off next weekend against the Warren G. Harding Raiders at Mollenkopf Stadium in Warren.
