YOUNGSTOWN — A man, 62, was found shot at 1:31 a.m. today inside a vehicle parked on the street in the 400 block of Norwood Avenue on the North Side. He had been shot multiple times, and police consider his death to be a homicide.

Officers removed the man from the vehicle and performed life saving measures, but he died, according to a Youngstown police news release.

The Youngstown Police Detective Division and Crime Scene Unit began an investigation. Investigators found multiple bullet shell casings outside of the vehicle and other pieces of evidence that will be processed, the report states.

No other information is being released at this time, the release adds. The victim’s name is not being released.
