YOUNGSTOWN -- Jonthony Altreche, 19, was arraigned today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on Tuesday on murder in the Dec. 10, 2023, shooting death of Ty'Rice Logan, 26, who was found near the sidewalk in front of Miss Daisy's Place on South Avenue in Youngstown.

Altreche's bond was set at $300,000 in Youngstown Municipal Court, and no change in his bond was made during Altreche's arraignment before Judge Maureen Sweeney. Defense attorney Aaron Meikle entered a not guilty plea for Altreche.

In addition to the murder charge, Altreche is indicted on two gun specifications, illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor permit premises, failure to comply with the order of a police officer, cocaine possession and a specification of forfeiture of money in a drug case.

When Altreche was arraigned in February in Youngstown Municipal Court in the killing, bond was set at $300,000. City Assistant Prosecutor Shaina Rochford told Magistrate Constant Prassinos of Youngstown Municipal Court she wanted Altreche held on $1 million bond because of Altreche "being on video shooting the victim."
