Jury returns from jury view, opening statements coming in Brandon Crump trial

YOUNGSTOWN — The jurors in the Brandon Crump Jr. aggravated murder trial returned this morning to the Mahoning County Courthouse after being taken on a jury view of the location where 4-year-old Rowan Sweeney was shot to death and four adults were shot in 2020.
It sets the stage for opening statements by the prosecution and defense to be given this morning, followed by first witnesses testifying.
