Closing arguments set to begin in Crump Jr. trial

YOUNGSTOWN — Closing arguments are set to begin this afternoon in the aggravated murder trial of Brandon Crump Jr. in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

The prosecution rested its case this morning and the defense did not call any witnesses.

After closing arguments, the jury will receive instructions and begin to deliberate Crump’s guilt or innocence.

One witness who did not testify was Kimonie Bryant, the co-defendant who took a plea in the case and will be sentenced later.
