Youngstown CityScape announces winners of 17th annual Youngstown CityScape Beautification Awards

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown CityScape announced the winners of its 17th annual Youngstown CityScape Beautification Awards on Thursday at Concept Studio on Federal Street.

CityScape presented awards in three categories including: Business, Institutional and Residential.

“Everyone appreciates the warmth and positive energy of this event each year as CityScape recognizes the effort and pride that people put into their property. It highlights the best of our community,” said Sharon Letson, Executive Director of Youngstown CityScape. “We receive nominations ranging from multi-million-dollar developments to beautifully created and tended gardens in residential neighborhoods. We want to salute the range of efforts being made throughout our community. CityScape’s Beautification Awards are a small way for us to join together and say ‘thank you,’ recognizing others who are committed to making a difference in helping Youngstown look inviting.”

Penguin City Brewery, Trek Coffee House and Vallourec Star were all named winners in the Business category. Congregation Ohev Beth Sholom, Golden String Radio, SMARTS (Students Motivated by the Arts) and Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority, Amedia Plaza Walk were named winners in the Institutional category.
