YOUNGSTOWN -- Once again, the Robert L. Moore murder trial has been postponed, and it again relates to a witness in the case.
The trial is now scheduled for Nov. 13. It was scheduled to begin this morning in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court, but issues raised by the defense today again pushed the case back.
The trial was postponed in August because of the arrest of a witness several days before the trial was set to begin.
This time, the reason for the postponement was the news that a grand jury in Stark County had refused to indict the witness. It caused Moore's attorney, Lou DeFabio, to tell Judge Maureen Sweeney he would like to request a transcript of the grand jury proceedings in the witnesses' case for possible use in the Moore trial.
Moore, 53, of Alliance, is charged with murder in the 2009 disappearance and presumed murder of Glenna J. White, 16, from a Smith Township home. Moore was the last person known to have been with her.
