YOUNGSTOWN -- Defendant Stevie A. Ballard, 23, will not testify in his aggravated murder trial today, and the defense will not present any other witnesses either.
Ballard and his attorney informed Judge Anthony Donofrio of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court of those decisions this morning. Closing arguments will be given this morning, and the jury is likely to start deliberating later today.
Ballard is charged with killing Darrell N. Jackson, 20, while Jackson was driving his car on Market Street in Youngstown Jan. 22, 2022.
