WARREN -- A double bill of Angel and The Sweet will play the Robins Theatre on Aug. 27.
Angel was discovered by Gene Simmons of KISS and signed to the same label, Casablanca Records. Its sound drew from glam, progressive and hard rock and its stage show featured KISS-like theatrics.
Sweet, featuring original lead guitar player Andy Scott, is best known for glam rock hits like "Ballroom Blitz" and "Fox on the Run" and the pop hit "Love Is Like Oxygen."
Tickets for the 7 p.m. show range from $30 to $55 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Robins box office and online at robinstheatre.com.
