Mon. 10:16 a.m.: No joke, Steve Miller coming to Youngstown amp

YOUNGSTOWN — The Steve Miller Band will play the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre on Aug. 9.

The 2016 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee is best known for the radio hits “The Joker,” “Take the Money and Run,” “Rock’n Me,” “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Jet Airliner,” “Jungle Love,” “Swingtown” and “Abracadabra.”

His “Greatest Hits 1974-78” compilation is one of the top 25 selling albums of all time.

Miller last played the Mahoning Valley in 2008 at the Covelli Centre.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show range from $42.50 to $175 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Covelli Centre’s Southwoods Health box office and through Ticketmaster. An online-only presale runs from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 10 p.m. Thursday with the password: JOKER.
