Woman pleads guilty to stabbing co-worker in kitchen of downtown restaurant
YOUNGSTOWN – A Youngstown woman pleaded guilty Thursday to felony aggravated assault for an Aug. 2, 2022, incident in the kitchen of the Prima Cucina restaurant downtown in which she stabbed a co-worker with a long kitchen knife.
Tameka N. Kennedy-Nash, 43, of Lauderdale Avenue, entered her plea before Judge Maureen Sweeney of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
She will be sentenced later, after a presentence investigation of her background and criminal history is written.
Police said she and a male co-worker got into an argument, and Kennedy Nash picked up a knife in the kitchen and slashed the male on the wrist. He needed medical attention for the wound. She and the male worked together in the ktichen.
Kennedy-Nash could get about 18 months in prison. She remains free on bond pending sentencing.
