YOUNGSTOWN — Western Reserve Road will be closed between Southern Boulevard and Market Street in Boardman today through Thursday, and then Jan. 2 through Feb. 10. The Mahoning County commissioners last week approved the partial road closing starting today for the next phase of a sanitary sewer project on Western Reserve Road.

The road closings began last month. The project started at Hitchcock Road and is heading east, County Engineer Pat Ginnetti has said. The project will be complete when it reaches North Lima Road, known as Five Points.

Local traffic will be maintained throughout the project, but Ginnetti urged people to avoid the area while the work is being done.

The entire project will cover more than five miles and cost about $18 million.

Starting at $3.23/week.
