Mon. 11:36 a.m.: Reward rises to $10,000 for information on fugitive in Rowan case

YOUNGSTOWN – The U.S. Marshals Service has increased the reward to $10,000 that is being offered for information that will directly lead to the arrest of Andre McCoy, who was indicted in the killing of Rowan Sweeney.
Rowan died and four adults were injured when a man came through the front door of a home on Perry Street in Struthers Sept. 21, 2020, and shot Rowan. Four adults also were injured in the gunfire, including McCoy. Rowan was staying in the home with his mother.
McCoy, 22, has been wanted since March 25, 2021, when he was indicted for aggravated murder, attempted murder, felonious assault, and aggravated burglary, all with firearms specifications. He is also wanted on tampering with evidence.
McCoy is described as standing about 5 feet 9 and weighing about 215 pounds.
McCoy was taken to the hospital the night of the shooting but left before police could speak with him, he has not been seen since.
Members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force are seeking information that would lead to the arrest of McCoy. The reward increased todayMONDAY.
