Thu. 11:15 a.m.: Charges follow Columbiana roundabout mishap

Lisbon Morning Journal

COLUMBIANA — An accident at the Columbiana Circle roundabout Wednesday morning has resulted in OVI, failure to control, and obstructing official business charges against a truck driver.

Officials said a tractor-trailer driven by Christopher D. Reynolds, 34, drove into an 11 S.Main St. law office at 3:30 a.m. after hitting the circleás curb, causing significant building damage. The driver was treated for minor injuries.

The roundabout is now reopened. Ohio State Highway Patrol arrived on scene before the truck and truck bed were towed. After crews cleared the area, South Main Street reopened, but the sidewalk and parking area are closed around the building.

Assistant Fire Chief Frank Nulf said the crash was so powerful that it moved the building slightly, according to the Morning Journal in Lisbon.
