YOUNGSTOWN — Daniel A. Peek, 46, is the man who was killed Sunday afternoon at a home in the 1400 block of East Florida Avenue, according to a police report.

The report identifies Peek as being a resident of the 1400 block of East Florida Avenue.

Police said they were called at 12:15 p.m. to 1417 E. Florida Ave. for Peek lying in the back of a house with an apparent gunshot wound. He later died.

When police got there, they found John E. Morgan, 45, of Penhale Avenue, Campbell standing next to a vehicle with his hands up and with a weapon unloaded on the top of the vehicle’s roof, the report states.

Morgan was taken into custody and charged with murder. Morgan, who was arraigned Monday in Youngstown Municipal Court, is being held in the Mahoning County jail in lieu of $1 million bond.
