Jury finds man guilty of murder in death of Boardman woman

YOUNGSTOWN — A jury today found George Hill III guilty on all counts, including murder, felonious assault and domestic violence in the May 30 or May 31 2020, assault that led to the death of Jennifer L. Mullen, 35, in her Shields Road in Boardman home.

Hill, 46, lived with Mullen and her two daughters. The four daytrial was in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court. The jury deliberated about 6 1/2 hours today before reaching its verdict.

Hill called 911 at 6:38 a.m. May 31, saying Mullen hit her head in the bathroom after having six or seven drinks and he could not wake her. Prosecutors say a “hours” passed between the time she suffered the head injury and when Hill called 911.
