Tue. 10:42 a.m.: Kenny Rogers tribute coming to Robins Theatre
WARREN — Don Gatlin will be joined by the Kenny Rogers Band for “Through the Years,” a tribute to the music and career of Rogers that comes to the Robins Theatre on Oct. 22.
It is described as a two-hour-plus show featuring music and memories honoring Rogers, who died in 2020, and his legendary career. The musicians on the tour played with Rogers for more than 40 years and more than 5,000 shows worldwide. Lead vocals will be sung by Gatlin, who was a member of the country duo Darryl & Don Ellis.
The concert will include the hits as well as fan favorites that seldom made the setlist. There also will be a “Kenny Speed Round,” where audience members can shout out a favorite song they haven’t heard yet and the band will play it.
Tickets for the 8 p.m. show range from $15 to $35 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Robins box office and online at robinstheatre.com.
