YOUNGSTOWN — Two men charged with killing a man, his 3-month-old son and the child’s mother Nov. 7, 2019, on Youngstown’s South Side are scheduled for trial Monday morning.

The defendants are Shainquon Sharpe, 25, of Columbus, and Taquashon Ray, 25, of Youngstown, who are charged with multiple counts of aggravated murder, murder, tampering with evidence and other offenses. If convicted of aggravated murder, Sharpe and Ray could get a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

After a final pretrial hearing Wednesday, court officials said the trial is still on schedule for Monday. There was no discussion of the case in the courtroom, only private discussions among the attorneys and assistant prosecutors.
