Ursuline, Chaney football game canceled due to COVID-19
This Friday’s football game between Ursuline and Chaney has been canceled due to COVID-19 issues.
Chaney coach Chris Amill confirmed the news Tuesday afternoon.
Ursuline coach Dan Reardon said the Fighting Irish are now looking for a new opponent for Friday.
Ursuline is coming off an exciting one-point, 50-49, win over Warren G. Harding this past weekend to improve to 4-1 on the season. Their only loss so far came against Chardon on Sept. 3.
Chaney is 2-3 this season and was coming off a loss to Canfield on Friday. The Cowboys are scheduled to play Harvey (Painesville) on Oct. 1 and Howland on Oct 8.
If the Fighting Irish can’t find a new opponent for Friday, they’ll play at St. Vincent-St. Mary on Oct. 1 and then host Boardman on Oct. 8.
