YOUNGSTOWN – Cardinal Mooney football team will play Elyria Catholic at 7 p.m. tonight, according to social media posts by both high school football teams.

Mooney initially was scheduled to play Youngstown East High School, but the game was canceled earlier this week due to COVID-19 issues within the East football program.

Cardinal Mooney is winless so far this year. Elyria Catholic’s record is 3-2.

Tonight’s rescheduled game with Elyria will be held at Mineral Ridge High School field on Seaborn Street in Weathersfield.
