EGCC to reopen Thursday
YOUNGSTOWN — Eastern Gateway Community College will resume normal business operations Thursday after being closed for one-and-a-half days due to an unspecified threat it received Tuesday afternoon.
Officials announced shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday, the decision to reopen was made after having conversations with law enforcement officials in both Youngstown and Steubenville.
The campuses were closed Tuesday afternoon after the school received a telephoned threat.
Mike Geoghegan, president of EGCC, said since the threat was not made against a specific campus it was decided to close both campuses.
