The commander of the U.S. Airlift Wing in Japan where a missing Hubbard man was found dead this week has shared a video on social media today in an apparent attempt to ease rumors following the death.

Trevor Balint was found dead in an apartment complex on the base after he’d gone missing more than two weeks earlier. In his video, Col. Andrew J. Campbell, commander of the 374th Airlift Wing in Yokota, Japan, said Balint is among six people from the base who have died in the past year.

The commander urges patience as the cases are investigated.

“The integrity of these investigations prevents us from prematurely sharing many of the details about each case,” Campbell said in the video. “And even when complete, many details may not be released out of respect for the deceased and his or her loved ones.”
